Waiting on Elvis
I have went through many ups and downs in my photography career. Some of the hard parts in being a photographer is making sure you are making enough money but also still photographing the things you love. I got the chance to shoot with my friend, Katrina, for fun last weekend.
Katrina is one of my best friends in Nashville. We met through our church, Crosspoint Nashville. As you can see from this photo, she is such a joy to be around! She radiates God's love and strength in the short year I have known her.
She wanted to take some photos before I moved and she said she had this obsession with 1950s fashion. I told her we could most definitely arrange that!! She has a old friend that has a 52 Chevy Convertible and he drove us around in it so we could take photos! Here are some of the photos... she said she was waiting on Elvis ;)
The dress that Katrina is wearing was made by her grandmother when she was in middle school! She didn't know when she would be able to wear it and now she will have these photos to look back on. Not just as a 1950s shoot, but as a shoot with the dress her grandmother made her.
For the people who know me personally, know that I love being in front of the camera just as much as I love being behind it. Here is just one photo of me that my friend, Michiah Posey, took of me. She is also a photographer that attends Nossi College of Art.
I think I portray more of the 70s, 80s, and 90s mixed into one crazy little girl. :) Come back next week for new photos!
